Dear Belmont Families,
We have had a great start to our year this week. It has been wonderful to meet all of the students and see their excitement about learning! I know that students have enjoyed this week, but I’m sure that they are looking forward to moving into their new permanent classes on Monday, September 12th.
In June and again in September, teachers and administration meet to discuss the best academic placement for each student for the following year. In September, class placement decisions take into consideration newly arriving or departing students and the impact on class numbers and dynamic. Each child’s academic and social needs are taken into consideration. Parent requests are also reviewed by administration. It is our hope that you will trust our judgement regarding the classroom placement of your children for this upcoming school year.
After 5 p.m., parents can check the Grade 1 – 7 class assignments online on the MyEd Parent Portal. Please see the attached letter for more information including:

Classes begin at 8:37 a.m. on Monday. Students should line up outside the door of their new classrooms (shown on the map).
